The Sun Always Rises

If you're subscribed to my newsletter, you probably know: this summer, I combined two of my projects (the Saga of the Stars and Take These Broken Shards) into one project (the Saga of the Stars). (Yes, I know that's a little confusing...I'm sorry.)

I'm really excited about this project. Here's a snippet from the first book—what do you think?

As the lone inhabitant to the Sunrise Inn stretched and yawned, the sun burst through the clouds with such vigor any might think that the day would be a joyful day.

But that was not to be.

The birds might be singing, the breeze might smell of flowers, but near every flower a bug shrunk in fear of a spider. Every bird was in fear of a hawk or an eagle, and the lone inhabitant of the Sunrise Inn was awake, and even though the day promised to be a good one, he was hiding from the groups who searched for him, painstakingly combing the fields for any sign of the runaway.

But they would not find him there.
