Just a Dream

This snippet is from the second book in my series The Saga of the Stars, and I've posted about it before, but this is a snippet that makes me smile every time I read it. What do you think?

As she slept, a new dream came to her. At first, the same voice who had haunted her for their journey was still there, taunting her with her doubts and fears.

Worthless.

Murderer.

But for the first time, the voice wasn’t the only one who was a part of her dreams. Her mother’s face, calm and lovely, appeared. Sleep, she whispered, brushing a hand over her forehead. Sleep and rest.

And so she did.

And as she slept, she smiled.
